Host an “Open House, Open Minds” Conversation
Open House, Open Minds is a friendly, judgment-free conversation about reproductive health care and abortion in Oklahoma, hosted in someone’s home—kind of like a book club, but focused on real talk. It’s a chance to slow down, listen, reflect, and connect more deeply with others, even if they see things differently.
These conversations are open and welcoming to people across the political spectrum. During the conversation, you can expect a respectful, facilitated dialogue that centers on personal stories, values, and lived experiences related to reproductive health care. It's not a debate, but rather a chance to listen, reflect, and connect with others in a thoughtful, judgment-free space. Our goal is not here to change minds— we hope participants will move from judgment to empathy.

HOST V FACILITATOR
The host is someone who invites friends, family, or community members into their home or space for the conversation—they create a welcoming environment and there is no training required. The facilitator is a trained volunteer who provides all necessary materials, guides the discussion, ensures everyone feels heard, and helps keep the conversation respectful and focused.
